

Material Barrel Cleaning System
The automated cleaning line for material barrels—especially IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container) tote tanks—offers notable technical advantages and application results.
Typically designed in a linear (“I”-shaped) layout, the semi-automatic cleaning line integrates multiple stations and consists of an upper and lower barrel storage area. The IBC totes are stored in two layers, enabling automatic loading and unloading. The ground-level conveyor uses plate chain transmission and includes several workstations: loading station, residual liquid recovery, internal cleaning, external cleaning, water suction, water draining, and disinfection.
Workflow:
- Loading and Preparation:
Material barrels (e.g., IBC totes) are placed in the upper storage area and conveyed to the loading station. - Residual Liquid Recovery:
The residual liquid inside the barrels is recovered and diluted for proper disposal. - Internal Cleaning:
A lifting mechanism inserts a 3D self-driven washer into the barrel, performing automated spherical spray cleaning. Water pressure, flow rate, and cleaning duration can be adjusted as needed. - External Cleaning:
During internal cleaning, a steam heater on the cleaning mechanism automatically opens the steam valve to soften dirt around the barrel mouth. The barrel then proceeds to the external cleaning station for automated surface cleaning. - Post-Cleaning Treatment:
The barrels undergo slag removal, rinsing, draining, and disinfection to ensure complete cleanliness and odor removal. - Unloading and Storage:
Cleaned barrels are automatically transferred to the lower storage area for collection.
